This research focuses on designing an end-to-end cybersecurity solution for small and medium businesses. With the explosion of technological advancements, we are more and more attached to digital platforms. Any company from any sector is embedded with IT infrastructure that houses intellectual properties, databases with personally identifiable information (PII), software applications, desktops, laptops, servers, and many other critical systems. To protect them from any kind of cyber-attack, we need to secure the environment with certain cybersecurity solutions. This chapter will provide a cookbook to assess the security posture of an organization and depict a step-by-step process to safeguard the business from any kind of security vulnerabilities. Large businesses can afford to implement a wide variety of enterprise cybersecurity solutions as they have significant resources. On the contrary, small businesses cannot afford to have a “Cadillac” solution comprised of every aspect of comprehensive security posture. Consequently, we need to design a set of cybersecurity solutions that are light weighted, affordable, efficient, and scalable for small and medium-sized companies. This chapter will provide the SMB with a comprehensive cybersecurity solution.
