Producing Organic Fertilizer from Agricultural By-products and Waste for the Goal of Developing Circular Agriculture in Tan Uyen City, Binh Duong Province, Vietnam

Developing circular agriculture is a trend in many countries around the world to economically use resources and protect the environment. This study was conducted with the purpose of providing practical information on the reality of agricultural production and the possibility of reusing agricultural by-products and waste for fertilizer production in the suburbs of Tan Uyen city. The research content includes surveying and evaluating the reality of vegetable growing and fish farming and experimenting on fertilizer production from agricultural by-products and waste. The research methods are data collection, direct interviews of 30 fish farming households and 20 vegetable growing households and statistical analysis and processing the obtained data. The results show the economic efficiency of vegetable cultivation and fish farming in the study area and find the best mixing ratio between pond bottom sludge and organic matter in fertilizer production is 30% and 70% respectively. This research has practical value, providing a scientific basis for the management and development of circular agricultural production in Tan Uyen city and the ability to apply it to other regions with similar characteristics.
