Artificial Intelligence for Decision Making in Maritime Activities
摘要
The General Maritime Directorate of Colombia (DIMAR) and the Catholic University of Colombia joined efforts to carry out this research as an action for the “Decade of Ocean Sciences for Sustainable Development” in its “Accessible Ocean” result, to provide timely information to those interested in developing maritime activities in Colombian coastal zones, through a smart tool that analyzes Big Data statistics from the Network for the Measurement of Oceanographic Parameters and Marine Meteorology (RedMpomm). The methodology used was applied to a case study of the Colombian Caribbean, through which open data obtained in real-time were structured and processed to present meteomarine information using descriptive and predictive analytics. As a result of this research, calculations were made using diffused logic and expert judgment materialized in inference rules, which are presented to the user in a mobile phone application.
