Fundamentals of Spiking Neural P Systems
摘要
This chapter opens the first part Theoretical aspects of spiking neural P systems of this book. This chapter introduces the model of spiking neural P systems. It describes the motivation for the introduction of the SNP systems model as well as its relation to the area of P systems. The basic definition of the SNP systems model is given as well as several examples explaining its functioning. The most common variants of SNP systems (extended rules, tree/tissue structure, etc.) are presented. The formal framework for SNP systems is introduced and a formal definition of the SNP systems model is provided. The chapter also investigates the links between SNP systems and variants of P systems, Petri nets, spiking neural networks, and deep learning neural networks.
