Higher Education—State, Market, and Technology Triad and Its Implications

  • Sudhanshu Bhushan

摘要

The evolving landscape of higher education in India, guided by recent policies and COVID-19 interventions, shows that state, market, and technology form a triad. The state supports market and technology and the set of policies that evolve has implications that need to be examined. The book contrasts the constitutional ideals of post-colonial developments with the recent policies. It observes that recent policies of deepening markets and technology have long-term effects on social justice, the role of teachers, and students' voices. An examination of these is necessary with a view to define new roles and aligning them with the constitutional ideals in the future landscapes of higher education.
