In many homes, the crib is usually placed with one long side against the wall and the other side with a living space. After returning home from the obstetric ward, the infant is placed on the bed with alternating head-side and foot-side positions after each feeding. Since the infant faces the direction of interest (toward the living space), it is no longer necessary to always sleep in the same direction.
