Unlocking the Power of IoT, Machine Learning, and Cloud Computing: Case Studies in Smart Homes

The integration of Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), and Machine Learning (ML) technologies is transforming smart homes. This chapter evaluates the impact of these technologies on energy efficiency, security, maintenance, and user experience. Through real-world case studies, we explore the implementation of personalized ambient control, predictive maintenance, intelligent security systems, and energy management systems. Our findings highlight significant benefits, including reduced energy consumption, enhanced security, proactive maintenance, and improved user comfort. We emphasize the critical role of scalable and secure cloud-based architectures and data-driven decision-making powered by ML algorithms. This study contributes scientifically by identifying key technological implementations and their impacts and outlining future research directions to enhance smart home environments.
