摘要

Global health diplomacy is about how health issues are inherently political. It refers to collaborative efforts among countries, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and various stakeholders to address global health challenges collectively. Health issues in Africa are complex, with challenges such as malaria, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malnutrition persisting across many countries. India has provided valuable health diplomacy assistance to Africa during the COVID-19 pandemic, achieving significant milestones in vaccine distribution, medical supplies provision, and capacity building. Strengthening health diplomacy frameworks and ensuring robust, resilient health systems is important for managing future global health crises. India’s expertise in healthcare and collaborative approaches positions it to assist African countries in overcoming health challenges and boost its soft power image through health diplomacy.
