Menstrual Health Governance and Resilience in Digital Era: A Study of Rajasthan
摘要
Menstrual health remained a significant yet understudied aspect of public health and governance in India, particularly in states where sociocultural norms intersect with policy interventions and their success. However, the digital era has brought new opportunities and challenges in addressing menstrual health issues through innovative solutions and digital platforms. This chapter examines the intersection of menstrual health governance and resilience within the context of the digital era, in special reference of Rajasthan, through conducting the qualitative study in Jaipur District. The chapter argues that the sociocultural norms are the major hindrance in the path of success of the health governance particularly to menstrual health policies and their resilience, but the advent of digitalization has played a pivotal role in this hindrance. Researcher(s) have used the mixed-method approach to gather and analyze the data, where the data is collected from carrying in-depth interviews in urban and rural areas of the district Jaipur of Rajasthan.
