Diamonds Forever

There are many stories about looting in the colonial history of India. Utsa Patnaik (1945), a leading economist, recently published in a book that Britain took over $45 trillion dollars from India in less than two hundred years. Over this period of time, looting without limit appears to have been as good as commonplace across India. The effect this had on the future of India was profound not only in regard to living under colonial rule for almost two hundred years, but India’s complete loss of economic stability and wealth.
