A Study on Source Degenerated Telescopic OpAmp for Biomedical Applications
摘要
This study outlines the potential use of a proposed tunable source degenerated telescopic OpAmp for biomedical signal acquisition systems. Mathematical background is presented for the proposed OpAmp alongside the conventional telescopic OpAmp. Using the \(g_m/I_D\) methodology, the OpAmp is designed and simulated in Cadence framework at 45 nm technology node. The designed OpAmp demonstrates input referred noise of only 1.4 \(\upmu \) V \(/\sqrt{Hz}\) , a total harmonic distortion of −52.21 dB (<1%) and a high gain of 58.65 dB at a bandwidth of 101.5 Hz while consuming only 0.24 \(\upmu \) W. The proposed low noise and low power with high linearity OpAmp’s performance stipulates a successful extraction and amplification of EEG, ECG, etc. bio-potential signals.
