摘要

Multifocal acquired demyelinating sensorimotor (MADSAM) neuropathy is a multifocal variant of chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), usually starting in the upper limbs. CSF study, electrophysiology, and nerve ultrasound help in making the diagnosis and exclusion of mimics. Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) is the drug of choice. Alternatively, corticosteroids can be given. In refractory cases, plasma exchange has a role. Patients usually need long-term immunosuppressive therapy.
