Stiff person syndrome is a rare immunological disorder. The phenotypic manifestations are varied, and many phenotypes have been described. Phenotypes may correlate with immunological markers. The diagnosis can pose a challenge. Immunotherapy can be beneficial, particularly if instituted early in the disease.
