Nuclear Facility Decommissioning and Radioactive Waste

This chapter first discusses the circular (recycling-based) society and waste. Recycling and disposal of waste are methods to realize a circular society. Radioactive waste is a form of waste (industrial waste). In the decommissioning of nuclear facilities, a large amount of industrial waste and a small amount of radioactive waste are generated. Decommissioning and waste disposal should be considered and implemented as a whole. The decommissioning of nuclear facilities and waste disposal in each country are introduced.
