To Jab or Not to Jab—Questions and Concerns About the Covid-19 Vaccine

This chapter explores older adults’ perceptions and attitudes towards the Covid-19 vaccination in India during the early stages of the vaccine rollout. At the time of data collection, the Covid-19 vaccine had just been approved for general use. Despite initial hesitancy due to concerns about safety and efficacy, many participants reported feelings of safety and freedom post-vaccination while advocating for continued preventive measures. Despite positive experiences of vaccination, participants remained vigilant, acknowledging the ongoing threat of Covid-19.
