Productivity Increase in PBF-LB Manufacturing of Inconel 718 and The Associated Cost in Fatigue Strength and Impact Toughness
摘要
This paper investigates the mechanical properties, including tensile strength, impact toughness, and fatigue resistance, of Inconel 718 specimens manufactured via PBF-LB. Through systematic experimentation, the influence of build orientation, production speed, and temperature conditions on material behavior is explored. Experimental results reveal insights into the complex interplay between process parameters and material performance. Microstructural analysis, mechanical testing, and fatigue performance assessments provide valuable data for optimizing PBF-LB parameters to achieve desired material properties. This study contributes to advancing our understanding of AM processes and guiding the development of reliable additively manufactured components for real-world applications.
