Hybrid Model Predictive Control Technology of Input-Series-Output-Parallel DC-DC Converter

This paper focuses on the input-series-output-parallel dual-active-bridge (ISOP-DAB) converter in energy storage system (ESS) application. A model predictive control strategy for solving the problem of input capacitors voltage balancing, output voltage stability and dynamic performance is proposed. Firstly, the mathematical model of ISOP-DAB converter under single phase shift control is established, and the state space averaging equations of input capacitors voltage and output voltage are derived. Secondly, the corresponding objective function of predictive control models are solved respectively. Finally, the hybrid model predictive control strategy of ISOP-DAB converter is obtained. The simulation model of ISOP-DAB converter is built and compared with the traditional voltage closed-loop control. The simulation results verify the effectiveness and correctness of the proposed control strategy.
