Calendula officinalis L., commonly known as marigold, is a valuable plant recognized for its medicinal properties and high carotenoid content. This study aims to produce carotenoid pigments through the establishment of callus cultures from Calendula officinalis L. tissue explants. By optimizing physical and chemical conditions such as light, temperature, and nutrient composition, efficient callus growth and enhanced carotenoid production can be achieved. The carotenoid content can be analyzed and quantified using suitable analytical techniques, providing insights into the potential of callus cultures for sustainable and controlled pigment production.
