Biosystematics of Genus Australopyrum

The genus Australopyrum is represented by two species with the W genome, Australopyrum pectinatum (Labillardière) Á. Löve and Australopyrum uncinatum J. F. Veldk, which are native to Australasia. Australopyrum pectinatum, which was treated as the type species of the genus, includes four varieties, Australopyrum pectinatum var. typicum, Australopyrum pectinatum var. calcis, Australopyrum pectinatum var. optatum, and Australopyrum pectinatum var. velutinum.
