A Structure Optimization Tensor FEM and Its Application in Ion Flow Field Problem
摘要
The Jacobi system reformulation is one of the performance bottlenecks for the finite element procedure. This paper takes the ion flow field problem as an example to present a structure optimization finite element method. Structural splitting and reorganization techniques are applied to optimize the data layout of the element info and batched BLAS operation is applied to improve cache utilization. The method is verified under the problem of unipolar and bipolar ion flow field, and the performance of the method is two orders of magnitude faster than the conventional array of structure-based implementations. The present method is easy to implement and can be further applied to solve other types of electromagnetic problems.
