Pedagogy of Space in the Global South: an Overview

A metaphor for underdevelopment, this book attempts to reclaim the term the Global South by bringing together works in and about the Global South and establish it as one of the many voices that must be heard and echoed for the initiation of what can be a less asymmetric and little imbalanced knowledge paradigm and episteme. In doing so, this introductory chapter represents works not just from the geo-political context of the Global South including countries from various regions of Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Oceania, but rather, the ones that enable a nuanced and critical understanding of what it entails to be a pedagogy of space within the Global South.
