Aesthetic education in colleges and universities is usually carried out in two ways: aesthetic education curriculum and aesthetic education practical activities. This paper mainly discussed the relationship between aesthetic education and college students’ happiness. The study shows that the impact of aesthetic education on happiness requires time to accumulate and transform. From the perspective of developing the ability to build happiness, the effect of aesthetic education curriculum is significantly better than that of aesthetic education practical activities, and it is more balanced in terms of mental health, spiritual life, life satisfaction, and self-actualization. Universities need to pay more attention to the integrity, coherence, and systematization of aesthetic education.
