This study analyzed the effect of database course design through statistical analysis and proposes suggestions for further improvement. Questionnaires were collected from 97 students enrolled in the Big Data Science and Technology program in 2020 and 2021. After a trust analysis, Spearman correlation analysis and factor analysis were used on the survey data, and then we investigated course evaluation and feedback. This study shows high overall evaluation results from the students, particularly in their satisfaction in the teachers’ comprehensive abilities and the open classroom. However, it also shows that the current teaching effect is still far from the goal of improving students’ knowledge transformation and practical ability and enhancing team consciousness, which will be the focus and direction of teaching improvement in the next step.
