ICT Application Dynamics: In-Depth Bibliometric Exploration and Insights
摘要
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become a crucial component in modern society, influencing various sectors. This study conducts an in-depth bibliometric analysis to identify key themes and recent trends in ICT applications. Utilizing the Web of Science (WoS) Core Collection database, the analysis examines 36,536 records, ensuring thorough accuracy and relevance. By implementing rigorous screening and data cleaning, we identify major themes through a co-occurrence analysis of keywords, highlighting primary areas such as “ICT,” “Technology,” “Information,” and “Management.” These themes illuminate the diverse aspects of ICT research. Using VOS viewer software, we create network visualizations that reveal the complex interconnections among thematic areas, providing a detailed understanding of the research landscape. Our results demonstrate the central role of ICT-related keywords in academic discourse, reflecting their importance and relevance in the research community. The analysis also reveals significant associations between different keywords, showcasing the interdisciplinary nature of ICT research. The discussion extends beyond mere analysis to emphasize the significant impact of ICT on educational, economic, and societal development. We advocate for ongoing exploration and collaboration to harness the transformative potential of ICT, aiming to achieve positive societal outcomes. This study not only enhances our understanding of research priorities and emerging trends but also provides practical insights for researchers, academicians, practitioners, and policymakers. In conclusion, this bibliometric analysis offers a comprehensive examination of ICT application dynamics, enriching scholarly discourse and guiding the effective use of ICT for societal advancement.
