Role of Endophytic Microbes for Postharvest Disease Management
摘要
Each plant organ has its own microbial assemblage, either on epiphytes or within the plant tissue, and these microbiomes perform a crucial part in encouraging development and as bio-controlling mean in response to number of phytopathogens during pre- and postharvest developmental stages of fruits. The endophytic microbiota of any plant organ interacts mutually and attracts one another in a number of action methods. The availability and spread of endophytic microbiota vary from place to place with each plant organ, even within the same plant, and are also influenced by genetics, cultivars, stages of development, growth conditions, biotic and abiotic factors, and specific interactions with one another. Endophytic microbiomes play an important role in disease management. In this particular chapter, attempt has been made to explore the carpophore of fruits, as well as the details of the application and management strategies of various fruit diseases through the use of beneficial endophytic microorganisms.
