Introduction

This introductory chapter begins with my personal reflection on my everyday encounters in the Australian suburbs of Sydney and Brisbane. The chapter situates the context in which this book discusses the experiences of homes and houses by Lebanese Australians, and provides a summary of the approach taken to document these accounts.
