Regional Adaptation of the Best-Suited Technology Model According to Resources Availability and Specific Regional Ecological Conditions
摘要
Regional crop varieties can be selected based on the specific resource endowment and production characteristics of different ecological regions using core and supporting technologies. Local adaptation of core technologies can be readily achieved through measures such as adjusting the number of soybean rows and row and plant spacing. Three specific sets of technological models have been shown suitable for different ecological regions in China: spring maize-summer soybean relay intercropping for the southwestern region, summer soybean-summer maize intercropping for the Huang-Huai-Hai region, and spring soybean-spring maize intercropping for the northwestern region. Furthermore, industry standards, including five provincial standards, have been formulated for intercropping. This technology has been continuously promoted in Sichuan Province, China for 13 years.
