摘要

In the pursuit of preserving and enriching cultural heritage, this research delves into the domain of digital transformation to investigate and implement technical solutions for the digitization and establishment of a comprehensive database for Quang Nam place names. The primary objective is to create a foundational resource that will serve as the cornerstone for developing a detailed dictionary of Quang Nam place names. Leveraging a multifaceted approach, the research integrates automated data capture, Geographic Information System (GIS) integration, mobile applications, machine learning algorithms, crowdsourced validation, cross-referencing with existing databases, and the implementation of validation protocols. This amalgamation of technical solutions aims to ensure the precision and reliability of the collected data, laying a robust groundwork for an organized and accurate database. The architectural framework embraces a thoughtful combination of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), NoSQL databases, cloud-based solutions, data warehousing, in-memory databases, graph databases, security measures, scalability strategies, and backup systems. Furthermore, the integration of GIS into the database architecture is strategically undertaken, incorporating spatial data modeling, GIS database design, coordinate reference systems management, spatial indexing, data interoperability, query optimization, real-time updates, integration with GIS software, and metadata management. The research also emphasizes the development of a user-friendly interface catering to the diverse needs of researchers, linguists, and the general public, ensuring inclusivity and ease of use. Anticipated outcomes include the establishment of a digitized database of Quang Nam place names, poised to serve as a comprehensive resource for future linguistic and cultural research. This project not only contributes to the preservation of cultural heritage but also provides a valuable tool for researchers, educators, and the local community.
