摘要

A new probability distribution model, known as the Inverse Half Logistic distribution, is being considered for a random variable representing lifetimes or durations. The issue of acceptance sampling when the life test is terminated at a predetermined time is examined, taking into account a known shape parameter. The assessment of the minimum sample size required to guarantee the specified average lifetime takes into consideration different acceptance criteria, confidence intervals, and the fixed experimental time-to-average life ratio. We derive the operating characteristic functions for the sampling plans and also delve into the concept of the producer’s risk. We furnish a table indicating the ratio of the true average life to the specified average life, ensuring acceptance with a predetermined probability. These findings are explained through an example.
