Besides civil adjudicative techniques which refer to civil judgments themselves directly, the supporting factors of making a proper civil judgment are also able to play an important role. They mainly include two aspects: judicial system and litigation mechanism. Regarding the judicial system, court organization, judicial openness and non-legal factors represented by lawsuit-related petitions via letters and visits are worthy of further attention. And when it comes to the litigation mechanisms, judicial mediation and the interaction between the different stages of a civil process and their corresponding adjudicative techniques present the targets of this chapter. Moreover, the overarching aim of the ongoing judicial reform in China which is to separate the complicated cases from the simple ones and to classify civil proceedings accordingly, may affect the application of adjudicative techniques as well. The purpose of this chapter is to pursue other factors related to adjudicative techniques from an external perspective, and to find out the possible impact of these factors on obtaining civil judgments with good quality.

摘要
