An 18-Pulse Rectifier Converter for Aviation

In this paper, the problem of excessive harmonic current in aviation rectifier is solved by combining D-type asymmetric 18-pulse rectifier converter with filter. Based on the analysis of the working principle of this scheme, the design of key parameters is completed, and the rationality of the design parameters is verified on Simulink. A 2.5 kW engineering prototype is developed, and the related load test is completed. The results show that the power factor of the power supply system is as high as 0.98, and the current harmonic distortion rate is less than 10 percent. In addition, the prototype designed in this paper can not only have the ability to withstand short-term double overload, but also the power quality can still meet the design indicators. The test results have important reference significance for the design of power supply for instantaneous high dynamic load.
