Inductive On-the-Go Without Cord Charging
摘要
This paper discusses the advantages of wireless charging over wired charging, the foremost being the ability to charge even though the vehicle is in motion which will result in the elimination of charging time and battery-related issues. It deals with the power electronics infrastructure of wired charging by explaining the physics of wireless power transfer focusing on the coupling coefficient of coils and the magnetic flux density between them. With increasing global warming, increases in demand of EV, and shortage of fossil fuel, on-road wireless charging offers several advantages compared to wired charging. Furthermore, this paper provides various aspects related to market scenarios and the future growth of battery charging methods of EVs, thereby making it a valuable resource.
