摘要

The global commitment to the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development highlights the urgent need to tackle societal, economic, and environmental challenges through 17 interlinked goals. Despite its critical role, the importance of legal framework in achieving these sustainable development goals is often overlooked. This paper emphasizes the vital role of appropriate legal framework and reforms in the successful implementation of the 2030 Agenda, particularly in embedding sustainable practices for long-term development across economic, social, and environmental domains. It argues that a stable, transparent legal system is key to economic growth, social equity, and environmental sustainability, by ensuring fair access to services, promoting equal opportunities, and enforcing environmental protection laws. This analysis aims to show the significance impact that sustainable development principles have on case law, creation and interpretation of treaties as well as on national legislation offering insights into how legal structures and institutions can be improved for holistic development and sustainability.
