This article highlights the remarkable progress made by Saudi Arabia in promoting gender equality and women's empowerment through various legal reforms and initiatives. It focuses on two types of reforms: those related to the financial sector and those related to labor laws. The implementation of measures aimed at increasing women's financial inclusion, such as facilitating access to financial services and credit, has resulted in a significant rise in account ownership among women. Additionally, reforms in labor laws, and changes such as lifting the driving ban and implementing anti-harassment laws, have improved women's social standing and access to business and workforce opportunities. The article emphasizes the transformative nature of these reforms and their contribution to closing the gender gap in Saudi Arabia. Despite their diverse nature, all these reforms ultimately aim to enhance women's social standing and promote their economic empowerment.
