Clinical Antiaging Medicine: Antiaging Medicine from the Perspective of Centenarian Research
摘要
As global aging progresses, achieving healthy longevity is becoming increasingly important for both individuals and society. Many centenarians live independently until their 90s and are considered models of healthy longevity. Our research group began a medical survey of centenarians in the Tokyo area in 1992, and in 2002, we started a nationwide survey of those aged 105 and over (supercentenarians). Here, we will explain the population dynamics and medical biological characteristics of centenarians (for genetic characteristics, please refer Chap. 19 ).
