Sleep, Circadian Rhythms, and Antiaging Medicine: Mild Disorders and Sleep Disorders
摘要
In recent years, there has been concern about the decline in labor productivity during work hours due to physical and mental disorders such as excessive stress (presenteeism) and the accompanying economic loss. On the other hand, it has been revealed that workers who are free from physical and mental disorders and have a high degree of happiness have high productivity and creativity [1]. Against this social background, it is expected that early detection of mild physical and mental disorders that appear before workers’ health deteriorates, and prevention of excessive stress through improvement of lifestyle habits such as eating habits, will be effective in mental health measures. Most physical and mental disorders are often evaluated by questionnaire methods based on subjective responses. In our country, the “Occupational Stress Brief Survey Form” created by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s research team on the prevention of work-related diseases is widely used as a simple and valid survey form [2]. Among physical and mental disorders, mild disorders do not require medical treatment and can be prevented from becoming serious by self-management. It is believed that early detection of this mild disorder (mild disorder) can lead to avoidance of serious stress conditions. With the aim of early detection of mild disorders, we will explain the method of evaluating mild disorders simply using the “Occupational Stress Brief Survey Form” and the factors necessary for understanding the state of the disorder, based on the results of previous research [3].
