Roads Infrastructure Digital Twin Case Study: Uzbekistan

The integration of Digital Twins (DTs) into road infrastructure management presents a ground breaking approach to addressing the multifaceted challenges of modern transportation networks. The study explores the evolution of DTs from their inception to their current role as sophisticated decision-support systems that incorporate real-time data, artificial intelligence (AI), and geographical information systems (GIS) to enhance infrastructure management. Focusing on Uzbekistan, the research outlines the potential of DTs to revolutionize road maintenance, traffic management, and environmental resilience in facing geographical and climatic extremities. This paper presents a detailed case study on the implementation feasibility, strategic benefits, and socio-economic impacts of DTs in improving road infrastructure management in Uzbekistan. By integrating cutting-edge technologies and data analytics, this study highlights the transformative potential of DTs to foster predictive maintenance strategies, optimize resource allocation, and improve road safety and sustainability.
