Examining the Cultivation Policies for Normal University Students in France

This chapter examines the cultivation policies for normal university students in France. France has a long history of teacher training and is one of the earliest countries that carried out teacher education in the world. As a country with a long and splendid history and culture, France has an ancient tradition of teacher education. France is recognized as the birthplace of the first normal school in the world. With the development of the curriculum reform of basic education and the research on teachers and professions, the reform of teacher education continues to deepen and develop, and the cultivation quality of teacher education and scientific research has become the core content of the development of teachers and professions. From the establishment of the first teacher education institution in the world in 1684 to the establishment of the University College of Teacher Education in the late 1980s, French teacher education has always had its own unique features. The success of its innovation comes from the intervention of the French government and the coordination of other departments, the integration of original resources to achieve the integration of teacher education and the improvement of the “entry threshold” of the teacher profession to improve the quantity and quality of the teacher profession.
