Generative AI for Cyberdefense

Over the past few decades, there has been a notable rise in the quantity and sophistication of cyberattacks. Therefore, developing a cyber-resilient strategy is crucial. Conventional security techniques are insufficient to prevent data breaches caused by attackers. Cybercriminals have mastered the use of cutting-edge methods and reliable tools to assault, breach, and hack data. Fortunately, smart models for protecting systems from attacks may now be built using Generative AI (GenAI) technologies that have been introduced into cyberspace. GenAI technology, being applied in multiple fields, has the potential to defend against cyberattacks. The study inspects the expansive potential of GenAI across diverse domains to strengthen cyberdefenses. It examines defense techniques harnessing GenAI's ability, encompassing threat analysis, cyberdefense automation, secure code generation, attack detection, ethical framework formulation, incident response planning, and malware identification. The research shows how GenAI helps make things safer online and looks at the problems it faces. It checks the important parts needed to make GenAI strong and safe in the world of online security. By figuring out these tricky bits and planning for the future, this study highlights how crucial GenAI is in keeping our online world safe.
