Far-Right Recruitment

While the previous chapter discussed individuals’ susceptibility to the appeal of the far right, we are now shifting our attention to the actions taken by groups and networks within far-right milieus that are aimed at enhancing this appeal, promoting their cause and pulling more people into their spaces. The actions analysed in this chapter are inherently linked to questions of radicalisation as they seek to trigger, direct, accelerate or in other ways influence individuals’ pathways towards adopting far-right ideologies, joining far-right groups and communities or engage in other, related forms of political behaviour.
