In electric cars, how well the battery works and how long it lasts are really important. In simple terms, when we have a bunch of batteries connected together in an electric car, it's important to make sure they all work well and last a long time. This is because sometimes, the batteries might not be exactly the same, and some might work better than others. In this paper, we suggest a way to make sure all the batteries work together nicely in the car using a method that involves using switched resistors. To make sure any cell doesn't have too much State of Charge, they use special parts called switch resistors in a circuit, which helps to get rid of the extra electricity. Typhoon HIL Control Center is a software tool designed to help you with designing and testing power electronics and power systems in one integrated package. We analyzed using Typhoon HIL softer that during charging and discharging due to internal parameter heat losses increase therefore temperature increases as a result chances of cell damage increase. In this situation BMS play import role to disconnect the cells from charging and discharging circuit to save the cells. In the proposed method we take 8 cells connected in series and assume that all cells are charged. But having different SOC means between the cells, voltage differences occur. Therefore here battery pack is unbalanced. So, we need to balance the cell. We simulate the model using MATLAB software with three different balancing resistors. We analyzed from simulation result that if we increase the resistor value for balancing, the balancing time increase but power losses will decrease.
