Qatar’s journey to hosting the globally renowned football World Cup, FIFA 2022, has just come to a memorable end. A governmental institution, hereafter referred to as NIPEME (NIPEME is a fictitious organization), was the institution responsible for the delivery of the required infrastructure and host country planning and operations for Qatar to host the FIFA World Cup 2022. NIPEME had been in charge of directly overseeing the construction of stadiums and other infrastructure that were pivotal to the tournament and its preparations. Through infrastructure, education, football for development, support for regional innovation, and a dedication to improving workers’ welfare, the efforts of NIPEME have been oriented toward helping forge a better future for Qatar.
