Genetic Factors
摘要
Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) contains heterogeneous pathophysiology, and each factor of various pathophysiological factors might be partly connected with genetic status. A large number of studies investigating genetic factors have ranged from analysis of family history to molecular-based genetic analysis. The genetic factors are mainly described as single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and recently evaluated by new technic like genome-wide association studies (GWAS) and epigenetic analysis. In this captor, we summarized the candidate genes affecting IBS and the influence of genetic factors on therapeutic efficacy.
