摘要

Dietary habit may be associated with the prevalence of IBS. Furthermore, certain food components, such as caffeine, fat, spicy food, milk and dairy products, and insoluble fiber, are probably associated with exacerbation of symptoms with IBS. For patients with refractory IBS symptoms, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) have been found to be beneficial. In Japan, interoceptive exposure-based CBT program (CBT-IE) with complementary video materials and group cognitive behavioral therapy (GCBT) for moderate to severe IBS have been investigated by experienced and well-trained behavioral specialists.
