Phenuiviridae is a virus family in the order Hareavirales, which contains negative-stranded RNA viruses previously classified in the family Bunyaviridae and the unassigned “bunyavirus-like” viruses. Recently, a total of eight families were created in the order Hareavirales (ICT— https://ictv.global/taxonomy ). Three of these eight families include viruses infecting plants: Phenuiviridae, Fimoviridae, and Tospoviridae (Kormelink et al. 2021) (the latter two described separately in this book). The family Phenuiviridae was created to group the related to phleboviruses, tenuiviruses, and other newly described related species.
