The plant virus family Secoviridae was formed by the rearrangement of the previously recognized plant virus families Comoviridae and Sequiviridae. It is the only family of plant viruses assigned to the order Picornavirales (Thompson et al. 2002; Sanfaçon et al. 2009), a name derived from fusing pico meaning “small” prefixed to “RNA,” in other words, viruses having small RNA genomes.

摘要

The plant virus family Secoviridae was formed by the rearrangement of the previously recognized plant virus families Comoviridae and Sequiviridae. It is the only family of plant viruses assigned to the order Picornavirales (Thompson et al. 2002; Sanfaçon et al. 2009), a name derived from fusing pico meaning “small” prefixed to “RNA,” in other words, viruses having small RNA genomes.
