This paper explores the resilience transformation of quarantine hotels and concentrated quarantine points in public health emergencies for optimized medical space usage, employing a mixed-methods approach that combines case studies and qualitative analysis. During the COVID-19 pandemic, traditional medical facilities experienced significant pressures on space and resources, underscoring the need for resilience in non-traditional medical spaces. By analyzing specific quarantine hotels and points, we identify and implement transformation measures including design adjustments, functional layout optimization, and clean/dirty zoning. These strategies significantly enhance medical resource efficiency and reduce cross-infection risks. Our findings indicate that such transformations not only improve immediate pandemic response capabilities but also bolster the overall resilience of public health systems against future crises.
