The Scene Construction of Modern Community: A Case of the Residential Area of Wulidian Street in Chongqing, China
摘要
The community, as the fundamental unit of residents’ lives, serves as the primary carrier of people’s aspirations for a better life and also marks an important indicator of a city’s level of modernization. Chongqing boasts abundant industrial heritage resources, and under policy support, the renewal projects focusing on outdated factories and their associated residential areas are a key direction for future urban renewal in Chongqing. This study takes the old community of Yinghua Lane in Wulidian Street, Jiangbei District, as a case study and is guided by the Modern Community Scenario Theory. Through the exploration of four characteristic scenarios this research provides solutions to urban governance issues within the area and offers solid theoretical support for the construction of modern communities in Jiangbei District, Chongqing, China.
