The situation of aging in China is becoming increasingly severe. As one of the main daily activity spaces for the elderly, community parks carry the function of meeting the activity needs of the elderly, affecting their choices of different physical leisure activities, and thus affecting their physical health and emotional perception. Faced with the problems of low-quality community park environment, lack of recreational facilities, and unreasonable layout of recreational spaces, how to build a livable and healthy community park environment for the elderly needs further detailed exploration. Under the guidance of the healthy aging strategy, multiple evaluation indicators were selected based on domestic and foreign literature. Three typical community parks in Chengdu were taken as research samples, and 218 scale questionnaires were collected as data basis. The SEM model was constructed by combining SPSS and Amos software for analysis. The results show that the built environment of community park recreation space has a positive impact on the emotional perception of the elderly through leisure interaction activities and sports and fitness activities, and all factors are interrelated. The three latent variables of service environment, accessibility and equipment are the most important influencing factors for the elderly to engage in leisure physical activities, among which the service environment has the most significant influence, which proves that the elderly pay more attention to the comfort of seats, the location distribution of activity squares, fitness facilities, shading facilities, seats, public toilets, pavilions and garbage cans when engaging in leisure physical activities. Promoting the construction of community parks suitable for the elderly is practically important. Finally, the paper puts forward some strategic suggestions for urban planning and design.
