To qualify as a first-line treatment for Helicobacter pylori eradication therapy, a regimen should demonstrate an eradication rate exceeding 85% in an intention-to-treat (ITT) analysis and surpassing 90% in a per-protocol (PP) analysis. However, numerous studies indicate that the eradication rate of standard triple therapy falls below 80%. Consequently, alternative regiments, incorporating diverse drug combinations varied durations of drug administration, have been explored to counter the declining efficacy of standard triple therapy.
